AVIATION HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF CENTRAL NEW YORK
A volunteer organization striving to provide the residents of Camillus, New York and visitors from everywhere a historical look at early aviation at the Amboy airport which became the Syracuse Municipal Airport in Central New York.
ACTIVITIES
Preserving History

THRU THE YEARS
During the time that the Syracuse Municipal airport was open many historic aviators graced its fields. Pioneers such as Charles Lindberg, Amelia Earhart, Douglas "Wrong Way" Corigan, Major Jimmy Doolittle, and Will Rogers passed thru the airport located in Amboy, New York.
EDUCATION
Our goal is to educate future generations about the importance of the Syracuse Municipal Airport and its role in the history of aviation. If the airport had not been moved after WWII it would have been the second oldest in the United States.

A mile of road will take you a mile. A mile of runway will take you anywhere
